At Marlie Inc., we understand that the concept of recycling and reusing minerals and other materials from batteries can be a little confusing. This is why we have taken the time to answer some of the most frequently asked questions we have encountered, in hope of providing you with clear and concise answers.


Q: How many batteries are sold in Canada?

A: In 2007, approximately 707 million batteries were sold in Canada. Of this amount, only 36 million were rechargeable or recyclable.


Q: What amount of battery components is recyclable?

A: Our recycling process can be used by our clients to recover 93% of battery components for reuse.


Q: How efficient is the recycling process?

A: Using our patented system, it is possible to process 50,000 pounds of batteries over an 8 hour period, results in turn will produce 25,000 pounds of usable minerals every day.
